Kibale national park is located in south-western Uganda, is one of the country’s most popular national park, known for it rich biodiversity and as a prime destination for chimpanzee tracking. Covering approximately 795 square kilometers, the park is a home to a variety of ecxo-systems, including tropical rainforest, swamps and grassland.
Kibale is renowned for its incredible variety of wildlife. It is home to over 70 species of mammals, including 13 primate species which is the highest primate density in Africa. The most notable species include; chimpanzee, red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and grey-cheecked mangabeys.
