Day 1: Pick up from Kigali Airport and transfer to Volcanoes National Park for a hike to Dian Fossey Tomb
You will meet and greet with a professional driver guide at Kigali Airport. You will then start the drive to Volcanoes National Park. You take about 2 hours to get there, and upon arrival, you will check into a lodge and relax. You will be served lunch, and after that, you will go for a hike to Dian Fossey’s tomb.
You will first be briefed, and then you will get hiking gear at the park headquarters. You will then start the hike to Dian Fossey’s tomb as you spot birds and primates. You will arrive at the Tomb of Dian Fossey and get to know information about her, and also have a glimpse at the graves of primates that were laid to rest near her. You will then head back to the lodge for dinner and your night’s rest.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer back to Kigali Airport
You will be served breakfast very early in the morning. After having breakfast, you will leave the lodge with a packed lunch. You will then head to the park headquarters. While at the park headquarters, you will go through the guidelines to follow while gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park. You will spend about 30 minutes to 7 hours searching for the Rwanda gorillas, and this will be done with the company of an armed ranger guide. You will spend 1 hour with the gorillas after spotting them. You will monitor them as they feed and carry out numerous activities. You will take pictures of them in their natural habitat, and then you will head back to the lodge. You will check out of the lodge.
After checking out of the lodge, you will travel back to Kigali Airport. The guide will drop you off at Kigali Airport for your flight.
