Detailed Itinerary of the 1 Day Rwanda Golden Monkey Trekking Tour
Our company guide will pick you up from a hotel in Kigali city, and you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, you will be briefed about golden monkey trekking at the park headquarters, and after that, you will start the golden monkey search with an armed ranger guide. You will search for the Rwanda golden monkeys for about 2 to 4 hours, and this entirely depends on their location. You will have one hour with the golden monkeys, and then you will head back to the park headquarters after monitoring how they behave.
You will have lunch and then embark on a hike to Dian Fossey’s Tomb. You will have views of primates and birds as you hike to Dian Fossey’s tomb. You will then arrive at the tomb where Dian Fossey was laid to rest alongside some other graves of the mountain gorillas. You will learn about the history and achievements made by Dian Fossey, and after that, you will head back to the park headquarters. You will be returned to Kigali and left at a hotel.
