This is a 3 days Volcanoes gorilla trekking safari that will take you for a Rwanda gorilla trekking experience to Volcanoes National Park with a brief visit to Musanze caves for a cultural experience and a visit to Kimironko market on the final day of this Rwanda safari.

Day 1: Pick up from Kigali Airport and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative, who will give you details about the safari. You will then leave the airport and head to Volcanoes National Park. You will take about 2 hours to get to Volcanoes National Park. On your way to Volcanoes Park, you will have a stopover at Musanze Caves. You will explore this cave for about 2 hours as you learn about the history attached to it. You will have views of bats hanging in these caves. The guide will give you information about these caves; for example, these caves were once refugee camps for those who survived the 1994 Rwandan genocide. These caves were also a crowning ground for the kings in ancient days, among others.
You will leave these caves and head to Volcanoes National Park. You will check into a lodge at Volcanoes National Park, and you will have lunch. You will relax after lunch as you interact with the guides. You will have dinner in the evening, then retire to bed.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking
You will have breakfast, and after, you will be given a packed lunchbox at the lodge. You will leave the lodge with the guide, and you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will get the guidelines to follow while gorilla trekking from the guides, and you will leave the park headquarters with an armed ranger guide. You will go to the forest for gorilla trekking.
You will take about 30 minutes to 7 hours to find the Rwanda gorillas. This will depend on their location. You will have one hour with the gorillas as you watch them feed, breastfeed, play and much more. You will take pictures of the gorillas in their natural habitat, and then you head back to the lodge. You will have a bath at the lodge, and you will rest. You will have dinner in the evening, and you will retire to bed.
Day 3: Depart for Kigali
You will have breakfast at the lodge in the morning. After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge. After checking out, the guide will pick you up from the lodge, and you set off to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will visit Kimironko market. At Kimironko market, you will have views of items sold at this place, for example, fresh fruits, fabric, clothes, handbags, crafts, art pieces, jewellery and many more. You will buy some of your choice and afterwards head to a hotel for lunch.
After having lunch, you will head to Kigali Airport, and that will be the end of the safari.
