This Rwanda tour will start with a city tour in Kigali, where you will visit the Rwanda Art Museum, Kimironko Market, Kandt House Museum and Kigali Genocide Memorial. You will then have a transfer to Nyungwe National Park, where you will engage in activities like Rwanda chimpanzee trekking, colobus monkey trekking and a Nyungwe canopy walk. You will be returned to Kigali, marking the end of the tour.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali Airport and a city tour
Upon arrival at Kigali Airport, you will be picked up by a Chopper Tour and Travel company representative who will brief you about the tour, and then you will start the city tour in Kigali. You will have a visit to the Kandt House Museum. The exhibitions at the Kandt House Museum will enlighten you about the history of Rwanda, specifically that of the German colonial rule, among others. You will then head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about what took place during the 1994 Rwanda genocide.
After the visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, you will go to a hotel for lunch. After lunch, you will head to the Rwanda Art Museum. You will have views of several art pieces, sculptures, textiles and many more. You will then head to a hotel of your choice in Kigali, and you will check in. You will have dinner at the lodge, and you will retire to bed.
Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
You will have a cup of coffee at the hotel in Kigali, and then you will leave the lodge and head to Kimironko Market. You will explore the market as you see the various commodities sold there. There are items like handbags, clothes, art pieces, jewellery, pots, crafts and many more. You will leave the Kimironko market after buying souvenirs. You will go to a hotel for lunch and then embark on the journey to Nyungwe National Park.
You will arrive in the evening, and you will check into the lodge. You will have dinner at the lodge, then retire to bed.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and a canopy walk
You will have a cup of coffee as early as possible in the morning, and afterwards, you will leave the lodge. You will go to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will be briefed about chimpanzee trekking Rwanda in Nyungwe Forest, and after that, you will head to the forest with an armed ranger guide to start the trek. You will have about 30 minutes to 4 hours looking for the chimpanzees, and once you spot them, you will have one hour with the chimpanzees. You will have time to observe them feed, play and do many activities. You will then head back to the lodge
You will have lunch at the lodge, and then you will go for a canopy walk. The canopy walk will be done at the suspended bridge, about 70 m high and about 160 m long. You will have views of Nyungwe Forest, birds, primates and much more. You will have about 2 hours while conducting this safari. You will then head back to the lodge and relax. You will after you have dinner and you retire to bed.
Day 4: Colobus monkey trekking
You will have a cup of coffee in the morning at the lodge, and then you will go to the park headquarters to be briefed. You will leave the park headquarters and then go for colobus monkey trekking to meet the black and white colobus monkeys. You will search for them for about 2 to 3 hours. You will have one hour with them after spotting them, and then you will head back to the lodge.
You will have lunch at the lodge, and then you will relax for the rest of the day. You will have dinner when the day breaks and you retire to bed
Day 5: Depart for Kigali
You will have a cup of coffee in the morning at the lodge. You will have to check out of the lodge after having breakfast. You will then be driven back to Kigali, and you will be left at a hotel or taken to Kigali Airport.
