This is a 2 days Nyungwe chimp trekking and canopy walk safari that is ideal for short trip lovers. This safari will take you to Nyungwe National Park in Rwanda, where you will engage in two activities: the canopy walk and the chimpanzee trek. This Rwanda safari will begin with a pickup from Kigali Airport and end with a drop-off at Kigali Airport.

Day 1: Transfer from Kigali Airport to Nyungwe National Park for a canopy walk
An experienced driver guide from Chopper Tour and Travel will meet up with you at Kigali Airport. After warmly welcoming you, you will go through the safari details. After, you will embark on the journey to Nyungwe National Park, which is approximately 4 hours. You will arrive and check into a lodge where you will be served lunch.
After relaxing, you will be transferred from the lodge, and you will go for a canopy walk. The Nyungwe canopy walk will be conducted with the company’s guides. This will be done at the suspended bridge. The canopy walk will take approximately 2 hours as you spot wildlife such as primates and birds. You will have views of Nyungwe Forest from the top and then head back to the lodge. You will have dinner at the lodge and after retire to bed.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and departure to Kigali Airport.
The guide will pick you up from the lodge after having an early morning breakfast. You will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. The guides will brief you on how to conduct yourself while observing the Rwanda chimpanzees in Nyungwe Forest. You will be escorted by an armed ranger guide to the trek. The trek will reward you with views of other wildlife species, including birds and animals. You will spend about 30 minutes to 4 hours searching for the chimpanzees. The time you will spend searching for them depends on their location and movements. Once you spot them, you will spend one hour with them. You will enjoy the hour observing them and taking pictures of them.
The guide will drive you back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will exit the lodge. The guide will then drive you back to Kigali and take you to Kigali Airport for your departure flight.
