Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Tsavo West National Park.
Your Kenya safari begins with an early pickup from your hotel or airport in Nairobi/Mombasa. After a briefing from your safari guide, you will start on your journey to Tsavo West National Park while enjoying scenic views of Kenya’s countryside. Upon entering the park, you will start your first game drive as you make your way to your safari lodge. Tsavo West’s diverse habitats provide excellent opportunities to spot wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes and numerous antelope species.
After checking into your lodge, enjoy lunch and after-lunch activities. You will head to the park for the afternoon game drive; the park’s rugged landscapes and beautiful scenery make every Kenya safari experience unique and memorable. As the day comes to an end, enjoy the stunning sunset before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-day wildlife and nature exploration in Tsavo West National Park.
After breakfast, depart for a full-day exploration in Tsavo West National Park with your packed lunch; during the game drive, you will explore Mzima Springs, which is one of Kenya’s remarkable nature attractions. The springs produce millions of litres of crystal-clear water every day and support an arc ecosystem that includes hippos, crocodiles, fish and numerous bird species.
The surrounding walking trail offers visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy nature while observing wildlife in a peaceful setting. Mzima Springs is also one of the best places in Kenya to observe hippos underwater through its famous underwater viewing chamber. You will continue with your game drive through different sections of the park while searching for the lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and many other wildlife species. Depending on the route, you will also visit Shetani Lava Flow, a fascinating volcanic formation created centuries ago. Then you will enjoy your packed lunch while being surrounded by the beauty of the African wilderness before continuing your wildlife adventure.
After lunch, you will proceed with the game drive to admire the large elephant populations and their spectacular landscapes that combine mountains, forests, and open plains. Also, you will explore the famous Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary to observe the impressive numbers of rhinos, among others. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Departure.
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out and then start on your journey to Nairobi or Mombasa. You will enjoy your en route game-viewing experience that offers you the opportunity to spot animals that you may have missed during the previous game drives while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the park. You will exit the park and, along the way, enjoy the final views of Tsavo West’s magnificent scenery and then reflect on the incredible experiences of the past three days.
Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel, airport, or designated location, marking the end of your unforgettable Tsavo West safari.
