Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Murchison Falls national park

Detailed itinerary for the 8 days Uganda safari
Day 1: Pick up from Kampala and transfer to Murchison Falls national park
On day 1 of the safari, you will be picked up by a guide from a hotel in Kampala and you will head to Murchison Falls national park. You will have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking and then you will proceed to Masindi town, where you will have lunch.
Upon arrival at Murchison Falls national park, you will head to the top of the falls, where you will have views of the powerful Murchison falls splashing its waters. You will then check into a lodge where you will have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 2: Morning game drive and a boat cruise
On day 2 of the safari, you will have a morning game drive after having breakfast and being briefed. The morning game drive will enable you to see numerous animal species since they are very active in the morning. The morning game drive will take approximately 4 hours and you will return to the lodge after the wildlife experience. You will be given lunch at the lodge and you will relax.
In the afternoon at 3pm, you will have an afternoon boat cruise at the bottom of the falls, exposing you to the water animals and those that will be seen along the shores taking water. After the boat cruise, you will head back to the lodge, have dinner in the evening and then retire to bed.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale national park
On day 3 of the safari, you will have breakfast and then the guide will transfer you from the lodge in Murchison falls national park after checking out. You will head to Kibale national park with an enroute lunch at a hotel. You will check into a lodge in Kibale national park when you get there and you will settle in. You will be served dinner and then head to bed for your night rest.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi swamp walk
On day 4 of the safari, after breakfast, you will go for a briefing and then head to the forest for chimpanzee trekking, where you will spend one hour with the chimpanzees after several hours of searching for them. You will return to the lodge after the chimpanzee trek.
You will be given lunch at the lodge and then in the late afternoon head for a Bigodi swamp walk. You will have views of several wildlife species while conducting the Bigodi swamp walk and after you will get back to the lodge for dinner and your night rest.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for boat cruise
On day 5 of the safari you will have an early morning breakfast and then check out of the lodge. You will then start the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. You will arrive at the park, check into a lodge, settle in and then have lunch.
After lunch, you will engage in a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. The boat cruise will be done for about 2 hours and you will be able to see the hippos, crocodiles and other animals along the water banks. You will be taken to the lodge by the guide after the boat cruise and then you will rest as you wait for dinner. After dinner in the evening, you will retire to your bed and sleep.

Day 6: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On day 6 of the safari, you will have breakfast early in the morning and then you will set off with a guide for a morning game drive after briefing. You will be able to sight animals like the lions, elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs and many more. This morning game drive will be done in the Kasenyi plains. Depending on the guide, the game drive may take 3 to 4 hours. After the morning game drive, you will head back to the lodge have lunch and then check out.
The guide will drive you to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will have dinner and your night rest.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking
On day 7 of the safari, you will have breakfast and have your lunch packed. You will then go for gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest. The gorilla trekking will take from about 30 minutes to several hours. You will spend 1 hour with the gorillas and then you will be transferred back to the lodge after making your observations. You will relax at the lodge for some time have dinner and have your night rest.
Day 8: Depart to Kampala
On the last day of the safari, you will have breakfast at your own pace and then you will leave the lodge. You will then be transferred back to Kampala with a stopover at the Igongo cultural centre for lunch. You will then continue with another stopover at Kayabwe at the equator for pictures and then you will be taken to the hotel in Kampala.
