Detailed Itinerary of a 5 Day Maasai Mara Migration Safari
Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi, Kenya
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you shall be met by our representative, your driver-guide; he will give you a short briefing about the Kenyan safari and then drive you to your hotel in Nairobi for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park
Enjoy an early breakfast, check out of your hotel and journey to Lake Nakuru National Park with a drive through the rift valley escarpment, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge.
In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive in search of some of the amazing wildlife, including lions, giraffes, rhinos (black and white) and many birds, including the pink flamingos.
The scenic Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned for hosting large numbers of flamingos along the shores of Lake Nakuru, one of the soda lakes in the Rift Valley, and a large number of rhinos. Lake Nakuru contains algae, which attracts large flocks of flamingos and can be seen on your visit to the lake.
Also, Lake Nakuru National Park is home to a variety of wildlife, including black and white rhinos, warthogs, baboons, and Rothschild giraffes, among others.

Day 3: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy an early breakfast, bid farewell to Lake Nakuru National Park and transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge after checking in. In the afternoon, you go for a thrilling game viewing excursion, searching for wildlife inhabiting the reserve, including leopards, lions, Cape buffaloes, gazelles, wildebeests and antelopes, among others.
Spanning 1,510 square kilometres, Maasai Mara National Reserve is part of the Mara–Serengeti ecosystem, spanning around 25,000 square kilometres in Kenya and Tanzania. The Maasai Mara forms the most northern portion of the ecosystem and is bordered to the south by the Serengeti National Park, to the west by the Siria Escarpment and to the north, east and west by Maasai pastoral ranches. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Today, we follow the Great Wildebeest Migration in the savannah plains of the Maasai Mara.
Enjoy an early breakfast, meet your driver-guide and head out with your packed lunch boxes for a full day of game drives following large columns of wildebeests, zebras and elands as they graze in the Maasai savannah plains.
In addition to the large columns of wildebeests, look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos and antelopes, among others. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on a return journey to Nairobi with lunch en route. You will be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight back home.
